The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office has received information regarding a possible scam involving jury service. The information received from Pima County warns that the potential scammer informs residents that there is an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear for jury duty in their name and the individual must provide $2,000 at a specified location. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office does not provide warrant information over the phone and reminds residents to remain vigilant. Any calls coming from the Jury Commissioner or Clerk of the Court in Santa Cruz County should come from (520) 375-7700. For further information, please see the attached news release from the Santa Cruz County Clerk of the Court, Juan Pablo Guzman.
